What is the NDIS?

The NDIS is an Australian Government scheme that funds reasonable and necessary supports associated with significant and permanent disability for people who are eligible.

Registering for the NDIS

OSC is a registered NDIS provider across VIC. We have fully qualified Orthotic and Prosthetic Specialists that can help you navigate the NDIS process and assist you with the best prosthetic and orthotic services.

Step 1: Fill in Registration
Contact the NDIS and Request the applicable NDIS registration forms.
You can visit their website at https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply or contact them on 1800 800 110.
Step 2: Submit your request via NDIS
Step 3: Gather Documentation
Once you have been accepted on to the NDIS, you will need to begin the process of reports from your specialists to help allocate funding for your plan.
Step 4: Book with OSC
Make an appointment at OSC to discuss your prosthetic and/or orthotic needs. 

3 Ways to manage your NDIS funding
1. Self-Managed
The National Disability Insurance Agency provides you with funding so you can access the supports that will best help you pursue your goals.
2. Plan managed
The NDIA will provide funding in your plan to pay for a plan manager who pays your providers for you, helps you keep track of funds and takes care of financial reporting for you.
3. NDIA managed
The NDIA pays your providers on your behalf.
